How to Use the Hey, Bud! Ticker

The Hey, Bud! Ticker is your live message feed, right under the homepage search bar. Make a pairing code, share it with your buds, and they can send you a text, voice audio, picture, or short video — straight to your ticker, with zero cloud in between.

Step 1 — Open the Hey, Bud! Dashboard

Where it is: On the AVIAVIA homepage, the Hey, Bud! Ticker sits directly under the search bar. Click the underlined “Hey, Bud! Dashboard” link just below the ticker.

Why: The Dashboard is where you make the pairing codes your buds will use to send you messages, photos, voice notes, and videos.

Step 2 — Generate Your Pairing Key (Your Code)

Click “Generate Key”: A unique pairing code appears in the dashed box. This code is the handshake that proves a sender is one of your buds.

Share it: Give this code to your bud — in person, by text, or automatically with the invite link (next step).
•
New code anytime: Click “Generate Key” again at any time to invalidate the old code and create a fresh one.

Step 3 — Invite Your Bud

Send App Download Link: In the Dashboard, type your bud's name and cell number and press “Send” to text them the invite link straight from the app.

Auto-pairing: When your bud opens the invite link, their device is automatically paired — no typing the code needed. If they go to the site directly instead, they just type the 6-character pairing code into the pairing field.

Step 4 — Your Bud Picks What to Send

Text — type a quick broadcast text.
Picture — snap a live photo with the phone camera.
Video — record a live video, up to 30 seconds.
Voice audio — record a vocal message, up to 30 seconds.

Step 5 — Transmit Straight to Your Ticker

Press “Transmit Direct to PC”: The message flies straight from your bud's device into your Hey, Bud! Ticker on the homepage — no cloud, no account, no server in between.

“Hey, Bud!” callout: Your desktop announces “Hey, Bud!” out loud when a new message lands, and the ticker automatically maximizes to show it.

Click any bud: Click any item in the ticker to download it to your computer instantly.

Step 6 — Dashboard Controls

Ticker Speed: Slide to control how fast buds scroll across the ticker.
•
Callout Volume: Set how loud the “Hey, Bud!” voice callout is — slide to 0 to silence it.
•
Download All: Save every item in the ticker to your computer at once.
•
Clear Log: Wipe all buds from the ticker (click once, then confirm).
•
Minimize / Maximize: Use the ticker's header button to collapse or expand it. Space is always reserved, so nothing on the page shifts.
